(costume pictures will come tomorrow) Needless to say, or usual tomboyish daughter decided that pumpkin guts are icky. We did get her to stick her finger in it once, which resulted in a taste and an "MMMM!" of approval. She was much more interested in running off to find the duckies. Oh well, there's always next year! And remind me next year to get a carving knife set. The paring and steak knife we through would be sufficient wouldn't cooperate for anything but a boring, traditional gape toothed grinning jack-o-lantern.

Our girls had the same outfit for their first Halloween! I don't think Lucy ever got to taste much of the pumpkin but she did keep looking at it and smiling while saying "Mmmmmm!"
Personally, I think pumpkins smell gross! And really wouldn't want to taste one.
